For colorectal cancer, which has not spread to other organs in the body, surgical treatment is the primary treatment and then add the adjuvant chemotherapy, which is usually taken for 6 weeks.

Phase zero

These cancers are still within the lining of the colon and have not extended further. The preferred treatment is surgical treatment to raise cancerous growth. This is usually done by lifting the endoscopic or local circumcision through the telescope. The colon may be removed if the cancer is too large to be lifted by local circumcision.

The first stage

At this stage, the cancer has grown through multiple layers of the colon but has not spread outside the outer colon or nearby lymph nodes. The standard surgery for this stage is partial colon removal and does not require any additional treatment.

The second phase

Many cancers at this stage have grown outside the outer casing of the colon and have spilled into surrounding tissues but have not reached the lymph nodes. Colon surgery may be sufficient to treat this stage, but it may be preferable to use adjuvant chemotherapy if the chances of cancer recurrence are high.

third level

At this stage the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes but not to other organs. The optimal treatment at this stage is partial colon resection followed by an adjuvant chemotherapy.

The fourth stage

Cancer has spread from the colon to other organs of the body and tissues such as the liver, lung, peritoneal membrane of the intestines or ovaries.
Often, these cancers can not be healed, but if the spasms of small numbers in the liver or lung can be completely removed with colon cancer, surgery may help heal or live longer. Chemotherapy is usually given before or after surgery. Chemotherapy is sometimes used by pumping hepatic leukemia if the cancer has spread to the liver.Dr. Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17844408658336257278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7390419559150661222.post-31283524102173440272017-05-19T17:02:57.781+02:002017-05-19T17:02:57.781+02:00My wife was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer...My wife was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer the doctors said he got all the cancer out after removing about twelve inches of her colon. Thinking she was cancer free we went home very happy. It took the doctors months to figure out I didn't have gastritis, but stage 4 small colon cancer. she started having terrible pain in her abdomen, and vomiting but no blood in either. I had a general surgeon do surgery and it was supposed to be laparoscopic but ended up being exploratory. They had to remove a foot and a half of her small colon (doing a resection), her appendix, one ovary, and part of the large colon. was on Folfox for 3 months and then Folfirinox for 4 months to try and get ready for surgery and the HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy) procedure. I was just told I am not a good candidate for this surgery because the surgeon did not see enough response with the chemotherapy. Now my oncologist is putting me on Erbitux and a cancer cell blocker. I am nervous because of possible side effects, after a member of my church introduced me to a doctor, which i contacted as fast a possible via email, he gave her his medication which she took as prescribed by him, last two month she was diagnosed colon cancer free, its will be nice if you also contact him via his mail drambermurray@gmail.com,am very sure he can be of help too. I am really happy sharing my story with youAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04677599177474603316noreply@blogger.com
